Sheehy Auto Stores is seeking an  Experienced Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk .  We seek talented individuals with automotive experience in Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Factory Reconciliations, Warranty Cancellations, and overall experienced AR and AP skills.  The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in Automotive Accounting and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This position requires excellent computer and data entry skills with strong attention to detail. The ability to multitask, combined with effective organizational skills, is crucial to success.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information


• Obtain payment authorization and pay invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling, and preparing disbursements.


• Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information, computing charges and refunds, preparing and mailing invoices, and identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments.


• Maintains accounting ledgers


• Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions


• Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation, issuing stop payments, or making adjustments.


• Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls and regular cash flow statements

• Answer phones and greet customers professionally.


• Provide administrative support to management and other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Previous dealership experience and Reynolds & Reynolds experience preferred


• Knowledge of accounting software (i.e., QuickBooks)


• High school degree required; 2-year degree preferred


• Ability to balance large volume accounts


• Detail-oriented skills with strong organizational and multitasking skills


• Fast learner who is open to change and able to handle a demanding environment


• Ability to work independently and with a team


• Strong communication and people skills – both written and verbal


• Must be authorized to work in the USA


• Must pass pre-employment testing, including background screening, Motor Vehicle Record check, drug test, and a valid driver's license
