Job Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join our growing automotive repair facility. In this role, youll support the Shop Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving overall shop performance.

As an Assistant Manager, you will help manage workflow, communicate with customers about services and repairs, assist with employee coordination, and support overall shop efficiency. Your ability to lead by example, stay organized, and foster strong customer relationships will be essential to success.

The ideal candidate has experience in the automotive service industry, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Shop Manager with daily operations and team supervision

• Greet customers, manage appointments, and ensure excellent customer experience

• Communicate service recommendations clearly and professionally

• Assist in coordinating workflow between technicians and service advisors

• Monitor productivity, shop performance, and ensure timely repair completion

• Maintain accurate records, estimates, and invoices

• Handle customer concerns or escalations with professionalism and urgency

• Promote a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required

• 2+ years of experience in an automotive service or management role preferred

• Strong leadership and organizational skills

• Proven ability to provide excellent customer service

• Basic understanding of automotive systems and repair processes

• ASE certification is a plus

• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
