How you will create an impact AIG is looking for a driven individual to assume a critical role within the Data Office, as a BI Architect, supporting AIG’s Business Analytics Operating Model.This role will be responsible for overseeing BI architecture for the strategic BI portfolio, including partnering with Data and Solutions Architecture teams to ensure fit for purpose BI solutions. Responsible for BI approach and standards, including technology selection and adherence, this role will also work with BI Delivery teams, defining standards in reporting, data sourcing, naming conventions and other key areas in order to ensure standardization across certified BI products. This role will also work as a key member on high level projects to review/provide insight into the overall delivery process and semantic framework, and in being the critical subject matter expert on deploying scalable BI solutions. What you’ll need to succeed Proven experience in BI Delivery and designing BI architectural patterns Deep subject matter expertise in BI tools, including Power BI and Tableau, including experiences with standardization Partners with project teams to design, create, and re-use enterprise assets, services, infrastructure, and business systems. Thought leader – ability to define technical implementation approaches to complex BI deliverables Has advanced knowledge and understanding of principles, procedures, and skills in domain and the most advanced understanding of Business Intelligence Delivery practices Has comprehensive knowledge and understanding of principles, procedures, and skills in Data and BI, and an advanced understanding of specialized technologies and practices Collaborates with data architects, solution architects, internal stakeholders, and external peer groups to drive strategy around semantic layers and approach Advanced knowledge of data management, data architecture, and data warehousing Defines the processes and procedures for ensuring data quality, integrity and "fit-for-purpose" BI tool selection and BI solutions design Monitors and analyzes new market and industry developments for potential applicability to business needs Strong problem-solving ability - candidate needs to exhibit structured thinking, attention to details, and analytical skills and process orientations. Advanced understanding of P&C Insurance industry Highly motivated, positive, and collaborative attitude, team player with strong communication skills Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations. Ability to lead and influence effectively across functions, lines of business, and technology teams Degree from a four-year college or university; MS is preferred.
