Job Description

We are looking for an energetic and motivated Carrier Sales Specialist to join our growing brokerage team. This is an entry-level role designed for individuals eager to start or grow a career in logistics and freight brokerage. You'll be responsible for tracking and tracing shipments, building relationships with carriers, learning how to procure new carrier partners, and assisting with load coverage. We'll provide full training on sourcing, lead generation, and industry tools-what we need from you is a strong work ethic, curiosity to learn, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Track & Trace:
    • Monitor and update the status of active truckload brokerage shipments.
    • Communicate proactively with carriers and internal teams to ensure on-time performance.
    • Escalate and help resolve any service issues.
  • Carrier Development:
    • Learn how to source and qualify new carriers through load boards, referrals, and outreach.
    • Assist in onboarding carriers to our network.
    • Begin building long-term carrier relationships under guidance of senior team members.
  • Lead Generation:
    • Support research and outreach efforts to identify potential new carrier partners.
    • Learn and apply prospecting techniques to grow carrier capacity.
  • Load Coverage Support:
    • Assist in securing carriers for loads by learning to negotiate rates and confirm capacity.
    • Work closely with operations and sales teams to help ensure shipments are covered on time.
  • Learning & Growth:
    • Participate in structured training programs on carrier procurement, negotiation, and relationship management.
    • Shadow experienced carrier sales representatives to gain hands-on industry knowledge.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred but not necessary.
  • No prior logistics or brokerage experience required-training will be provided.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable making outbound calls and engaging with new contacts.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the transportation and logistics industry.
