Job Description

The Clinical Therapist is a key associate at Hope Network whose primary responsibilities include:  providing direct clinical services in an outpatient setting working with individuals, families, and groups to address and treat mental health disorders and to promote optimal functioning. The Therapist is trained in, and uses, a variety of therapeutic techniques to deal with a wide range of mental health concerns including, but not limited to: depression, addiction, suicidal impulses, stress management, problems with self-esteem, issues associated with aging, family, parenting, marital or other relationship problems. The Therapist has a high degree of personal integrity, generates positive energy, and makes a difference every day. Some duties described herein may not be performed by every therapist .

  • Perform comprehensive psychosocial assessments to determine needs and required level and frequency of medically necessary psychological services, as diagnosed.
  • Develop treatment plans, using person-centered processes by assisting persons-served in setting goals linked to addressing identified needs. Make certain 100% of consumer goals address situational stressors, family relations, interpersonal relationships, mental health issues, life span issues, psychiatric illnesses, addictions, domestic violence, or other trauma.
  • Review treatment plans no less than every 90 days.
  • Provide individual, family and/or group therapy using therapy interventions such as: active listening, consistent eye contact, unconditional positive regard, and empathic responses. 
  • Identify emergency crisis. Make immediate clinical assessments and respond according to accepted crisis intervention methods and techniques; coordinate other services, as needed.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of persons-served and evaluate effectiveness of Treatment Plan goals and interventions.
  • Complete Transition/Discharge plans within 14 days of event.
  • Perform transition planning and follow-up contact with persons served.
  • Participate in building community relations and social networks that provide support, friendship, love and hope.ongoing peer review of clinical documentation.
  • Facilitate, for persons-served, access to community resources and social support networks.
  • Provide supreme customer service, always being courteous, responsive, professional, and helpful to the organization’s internal and external customers.
  • Know the contract requirements for your program/service.
  • Consistently achieve caseload targets and productivity benchmarks.
  • Achieve 100% on all quality audits.
  • Document all encounters and contacts made on behalf of persons-served.
  • Embrace the concepts of recovery and expects all personnel to follow the principles of recovery.
  • Maintain comprehensive charting for persons-served.
  • Ensure 100% of routine/customary daily, monthly, quarterly and annual internal data reports are submitted on time.
  • Adhere to high level of health and safety practices in physical facilities and in corporate vehicles. 
  • Make certain that 100% of your training requirements are renewed prior to expiration date, as specified by job.
  • Work toward personal and professional goals and objectives. Attend job related in-services and trainings when offered and actively seek to further develop competencies. 
  • Attend and actively participate in team staff meetings.

 

Position Requirements:

  1. Minimum: Limited License Therapist required
  2. Preferred: Fully Licensed Therapist
  3. Minimum Education Requirements: Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling
  4. Experience and/or specialized training in substance abuse.
  5. Two years experience.
  6. One or more Specialties: IDDT, Certified Addiction Counselor, Children’s Services, American Sign Language.
  7. Concepts of Motivational Interviewing.
  8. Integrated Duel Diagnosis Treatment.
  9. Family Psycho Education.
  10. Seeking Safety, Family Psycho Education.
  11. Stages Of Change.
  12. Trauma Informed Care.
  13. Integrated Care.

Education

Preferred
  • Masters or better in Counseling
  • Master of Social Work or better

Licenses & Certifications
