Job Description

General Function: Clean and maintain district facilities using routine procedures to maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of building operations and grounds.

Essential Functions:

Cleaning:

• Maintain a cleaning schedule that will include cleaning floors, whiteboards, wastebaskets, windows, furniture, equipment, and restrooms.
• Keep school buildings and grounds neat and clean, including sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and play areas.
• Comply with local laws and procedures for storage and disposal of trash.
• Assist in maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and request additional supplies as needed.

Maintenance and Repair:

• Assist with lunchroom set up, including arranging tables and chairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure students' and staff's comfort, health, and safety.
• Move furniture or equipment within the building as directed by the principal.
• Assist in setting up facilities for special events.

Safety:

• Assist with opening and closing the building each school day, ensuring all exit doors are open and all panic bolts are working correctly during hours of building occupancy.
• Follow established procedures for locking, checking, and safeguarding facilities.
• Inspect machines and equipment for safety and efficiency.
• Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting and climbing.
• Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
• Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and promptly report any not immediately correctable to the supervisor.
• Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Position Type: Part-Time (Up to 15 hours per week depending on cleaning assignment)

Qualification Requirements:

• Incumbents must be fingerprinted, and a criminal background check must be cleared.

Position Type: Part-Time

Salary: $11 to $13 Per Hour
