Job Description

A large healthcare client is seeking a Data Scientist / Analytics Developer to join their analytics team. This role focuses on building interactive dashboards, creating data visualizations, and transforming manual reports into automated, self-service tools using Tableau. The ideal candidate will have strong Tableau expertise and experience supporting business users through data-driven solutions. Exposure to data science techniques and machine learning models, is important especially for projects involving predictive analytics and clinical decision support.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and visualizations using data from multiple sources, including Epic
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into actionable insights
Build and optimize data pipelines using Python and Tableau Prep to support reporting and analytics
Preprocess data by extracting, combining, and cleaning test files and datasets to support clinical and business reporting initiatives
Conduct data analysis and participate in screening exercises to demonstrate Tableau problem-solving approaches
Interpret data and help leaders at Cooper make smarter decisions across the organization
Develop and apply machine learning models for predictive analytics and business impact
Create comprehensive analytics solutions dig into the data, solve business problems, and build tools that drive impact to the Org
Collaborate on data science projects involving both text and numerical data, especially in healthcare context

Masters degrees in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or Business Analytics) with focus on Business Analytics
-23 years of hands-on Tableau development experience
-Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and pipeline development
-Experience working with healthcare data, preferably from Epic
-Strong skills in data visualization, dashboard design, and interpreting complex datasets
-Bachelors degree
