Desktop-Network Support Specialist II-III Join to apply for the Desktop-Network Support Specialist II-III role at Stevens County, Washington OPEN : 7/25/2025 – Open Until Filled Desktop/Network Support Specialist Grade II-III Pay Rate: 29.52 – 37.14 /hr Overview Summary: Performs technical maintenance and support of County desktop and/or technology systems; installs, configures and maintains equipment and/or applications; performs component level tests and repairs; provides helpdesk and customer service support by troubleshooting, investigating and resolving technical system problems; and provides technical user training pertaining to assigned systems and equipment. Responsibilities Provides technical assistance to end-users with high-quality, customer-focused technical services. Works courteously and effectively with public officials, citizens, vendors, supervisors, and other employees, both in person and over the telephone; assisting them with a wide variety of technical support pertaining to County computer systems; functions effectively as a member of the team. Troubleshoots and resolves first-level desktop system problems and irregularities including, but not limited to, identifying issues and determining courses of action for problem resolution. Installs, tests and configures hardware and software; researches and resolves computer application integration issues; recommends solutions to meet specific needs; researches, recommends and implements upgrades as appropriate. Reformats and installs operating systems and other applications; rebuilds standard County software as needed; configures new endpoint devices. Performs component level repairs on hardware and peripherals. Reads technical journals to keep abreast of new software and hardware product; creates and maintains required records and documentation of support services performed; helps maintain County software licensing/installation information. Helps install network wiring and infrastructure components as assigned. Install and maintain security cameras, audio-visual equipment, intercom and card entry systems. Serves as backup for other staff members in a mutually supportive team environment and responds to system failures and maintenance emergencies. Continuously communicates with supervisor regarding the status of assignments and projects.
