Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and dynamic HR Director, Business Partner to join our global technology organization. This role will be based in our San Mateo, CA offices and will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, driving people strategies that align with business objectives across multiple geographies. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in organizational development, talent management, and change leadership within fast-paced, innovation-driven environments.

How you will make an impact:

  • Partner with senior leaders to develop and execute HR strategies that support business growth, transformation, and operational excellence.
  • Lead workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational design initiatives to ensure optimal talent alignment.
  • Provide guidance on complex employee relations issues, performance management, and leadership development.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts across global teams.
  • Collaborate with Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver integrated HR solutions in areas such as compensation, benefits, learning & development, and talent acquisition.
  • Use data and analytics to inform decisions, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support change management initiatives, including M&A integration, restructuring, and cultural transformation.

What you bring to the team:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience. An MBA is a +!
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a business partner or HR leadership role within a global technology company.
  • Proven ability to influence and build relationships with senior executives and cross-functional teams as well as employees and peers at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
  • Experience managing HR in a matrixed, global environment.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience supporting engineering, product, or technical teams.
  • Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CIPD) a plus.
  • Passion for innovation, agility, and continuous learning.

Where Youll Work and Whats required:

  • Hybrid (3 to 4 days per week) in our San Mateo (mid-peninsula), CA offices
  • Ability to travel up to 35% of the time for meetings, events, and other related activities.
  • Ability to travel Internationally
