Lone Mountain Land Company Position Summary We are seeking a Director of Communication with a strong background in policy as it relates to residential/recreational development, resort operations, and landscape conservation, preferably with experience in-house. This position is vital to shaping our public narrative, managing communication, and reinforcing our commitment to sustainable practices and community engagement. *This is not a remote position, and is located in Big Sky, Montana Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive public relations for internal and external strategies that align with our organization's goals while promoting positive initiatives and promote our environmental initiatives. Cultivate relationships with leadership staff, media representatives, community leaders, and stakeholders to enhance the company's visibility and reputation. Manage communication efforts and prepare responses to public inquiries, ensuring clarity and consistency in messaging. Coordinate and oversee the preparation of press releases. Monitor and analyze media coverage, public opinion, and emerging trends affecting the organization, utilizing insights to inform strategy. Help to support community engagement efforts, including public forums, workshops, and outreach programs to foster transparency and collaboration. Work with social media teams to help execute campaigns related to sustainability initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communication, Environmental Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Proven track record of managing public relations campaigns and media relations in a senior role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and deadlines. Public speaking proficiency.
