Job Summary
FindersKeepers is seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker/ Pet Sitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong understanding of pet behavior and care. This role involves providing exercise, companionship, and care for dogs while ensuring their safety and well-being during walks. The Dog Walker will be responsible for managing multiple dogs at once, maintaining a positive relationship with pet owners, and representing our brand with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and socialization.
• Monitor the behavior and health of dogs during walks, reporting any concerns to pet owners.
• Provide basic training commands to dogs as needed to encourage good behavior.
• Maintain accurate records of each dog's walking schedule, preferences, and any special instructions from owners.
• Ensure the safety of all dogs by using proper handling techniques and equipment.
• Clean up after dogs during walks to maintain a clean environment.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's needs and behaviors.
• Assist with additional pet care tasks such as feeding, grooming, or administering medication if required.
• Provide excellent customer service to build trust with clients.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in dog handling or animal care is preferred.
• Knowledge of dog training techniques is a plus.
• Experience as a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with animal restraint methods and pet grooming practices is beneficial.
• Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners.
• Ability to handle heavy lifting when managing larger breeds or carrying supplies.
• Experience in kennel environments or equine care is an advantage.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently while following instructions.
