Job Description

Dueall is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Engineer to support field quantity verification, track costs, and manage jobsite data for residential and commercial exterior restoration projects. You’ll work closely with project managers, superintendents, and accounting to ensure financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and real-time reporting across multiple jobs.

Here’s the work you get to do:

Field Quantity Verification

• Measure and document installed material quantities on a daily and weekly basis
• Compare field-reported quantities to project budgets and construction drawings
• Assist with verifying subcontractor progress to support accurate payment validation

Cost Tracking & Reporting

• Monitor daily jobsite costs related to materials, equipment, and labor
• Maintain up-to-date cost logs and input data into cost tracking systems
• Help identify discrepancies between actual job costs and budget expectations

Procurement Support

• Track material deliveries and confirm quantities against purchase orders
• Support the field team in maintaining an accurate, up-to-date material inventory

Data Documentation

• Update project cost reports and material tracking spreadsheets regularly
• Maintain organized field logs and photographic records for cost backup and verification

Team Collaboration

• Coordinate with project managers, field superintendents, and accounting to align cost data
• Participate in jobsite walks, daily stand-ups, and weekly coordination or OAC meetings

Here’s what makes you a great fit for this role:

• 1-2 years of experience in cost engineering, project controls, or field-based construction tracking
• Strong Excel skills and experience with cost tracking systems or estimating tools
• Familiarity with reading and interpreting construction drawings and material scopes
• Detail-oriented and methodical when documenting costs and field data
• Clear communicator who collaborates well with internal teams and external partners
• Highly organized and self-driven, with a strong sense of accountability
• Comfortable working in both field and office environments
