Amentum is currently looking for an Entry Level Electrical Engineer to support customers within the Strategic Microelectronics Division at Naval Surface Warfare Center - Crane. The role involves performing a variety of engineering assignments in planning and overseeing research, development, design, manufacture, test, installation, operations, and maintenance of electronic equipment and systems as a member of a design, analysis, or review team. Responsibilities include performing design, development, and review tasks with close supervision; designing, developing, and simulating test circuits for characterization and evaluation of microelectronic components; designing and developing printed circuit boards and automated test programs; collecting data on test components and reviewing data; completing portions of analysis and design reviews; assisting in preparation of reports and correspondence; tracking and maintaining project development status; developing and producing technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications; interfacing with customers in design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications; and verifying compliance with engineering documentation standards and test procedures. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, experience with lab test equipment, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, motivation and creativity, organizational skills, ability to work as a team player, aptitude for solving technical problems, understanding of microelectronics concepts, and ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). Preferred qualifications include microelectronic component test experience, knowledge of Electronic Design Automation tools, some programming experience, basic analog or design knowledge of circuit boards or ASICs, understanding of noise and repeatable test measurements, and knowledge of microelectronic fabrication processes and techniques.
