Family Lawyer - Signing Bonus / Hybrid or Remote Our Miami-based law firm is seeking a family attorney who can assist clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including divorce, child custody, paternity, equitable distribution, child support, adoption, and domestic violence. Job seekers should be equally familiar with prenuptial agreements, alimony, and real estate, and be able to effectively engage in oral debate and negotiation, even in highly stressful and emotional situations. • Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current
• Represent clients in court proceedings as needed
• Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process
• Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings
• Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required
• Active membership with the ABA (American Bar Association)
• Candidates should be great negotiators and communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high
• Must have worked on family law issues for at least 1-2 years; handling of real estate also required
• At least 2+ years of family law litigation experience
• Member of the FLORIDA BAR
• Prior experience representing clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration
• Must be able to handle a heavy caseload with little supervision
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations
