About the Role

TEKsystems is seeking a skilled and self-sufficient Fire Alarm Technician to join our dynamic team in Nashville. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in commercial environments and is ready to take ownership of fire alarm installation projects from start to finish.

You’ll be working on high-impact sites such as schools, office buildings, manufacturing facilities, and government locations—installing and managing MC/Fire Alarm Cable, conduit, panels, strobes, pull stations, and speakers. If you can read blueprints, run cable, loops, and circuits without supervision, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do

• Install and manage fire alarm systems (conventional and addressable)
• Mount and wire panels, strobes, pull stations, and speakers
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
• Work independently or lead a small team of 2–3 helpers
• Maintain high standards of safety and quality on-site

Must-Have Skills

• 3–5 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician
• Strong background in commercial fire alarm installation
• Familiarity with systems like Edwards/EST and Honeywell
• Proficient in cabling, troubleshooting, and service work
• Ability to work without mentorship or supervision

Nice-to-Haves

• Programming experience (a major plus!)
• Lift certifications (beneficial but not required)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
