The front desk agent is a customer service professional responsible for greeting guests, handling check-ins and check-outs, managing reservations, and providing administrative and clerical support. Key duties include answering phones, addressing guest inquiries and complaints, managing mail, and maintaining office supplies. Strong communication, customer service, organization, and computer skills are essential for this role. 

  • Guest services: Greet visitors, handle check-ins and check-outs, assign rooms, issue keys, and address any guest questions or complaints.
  • Administrative tasks: Answer and direct phone calls, handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages, schedule meetings, and perform clerical duties like filing and record-keeping.
  • Reservations: Manage reservations, cancellations, and inquiries via phone or email.
  • Information provision: Provide information about the property, its services, amenities, and local attractions to guests.
  • Office management: Monitor and order office supplies, and ensure the reception area is clean and well-maintained. 

Schedule: 

  • Full-Time : Monday- Friday (5 days per week, 8-hour shifts)
  • The Foghorn Hotel operates 365 days a year, so open availability is required, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. If you do not have open availability, this position may not be the right fit for you.
