JOB TITLE: HVAC Service Manager 

DEPARTMENT : Residential Service 

*THIS POSITION IS ON-SITE AT OUR CALEDONIA, WI LOCATION*

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Residential HVAC Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all residential HVAC service and maintenance technicians. This includes managing technician performance, ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining profitability, and driving continuous improvement through training and leadership.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and manage residential HVAC service and maintenance technicians
• Train and mentor residential HVAC technicians to ensure high performance and professional development
• Ensure technicians adhere to all company policies and standards, including arriving on time daily
• Conduct weekly ride-alongs to support technician growth
• Monitor and help technicians grow and improve their KPI’s including conversion rates, average ticket, and billable efficiency
• Conduct monthly scorecard reviews with each technician
• Maintain revenue targets
• Direct communication with dispatchers
• Update daily goal boards
• Weekly service call process training
• Complete Manager’s invoice review tool daily
• Conduct monthly technical training for technicians
• Review dispatch close-outs daily
• Establish a team culture holding the team to a high standard of customer satisfaction
• Responsible for maintaining a minimum level of gross margin
• Perform all other duties assigned to this role

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Management degree or equivalent required
• Valid Driver’s License and insurable driving record
• Strong leadership and communication skills for both customer and team
• Organizational and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and service software (Service Titan, Microsoft Office, etc.)
• Ability to analyze and act on performance data and KPI’s
• Ability to develop leadership skills in other team members
• Ability to execute plans from reports
• 2+ years managerial experience
• Proficiency in understanding the relationship between behavior and KPIs
• Always pushing for personal and professional growth

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

• Capacity to physically carry, lift, and push up to 75 pounds 
• Frequently required to stand and walk 
• Frequently required to bend, reach, stoop, or crawl
• Perform repetitive motions using your hands and fingers such as, but not limited to, grasping, gripping and holding
