INSURANCE & REINSURANCE LITIGATION ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

A premier AmLaw 100 firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join its nationally-recognized Insurance & Reinsurance Litigation Practice Group . This position is open in multiple office locations and offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement.

Candidate Profile:

• JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record .

• Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction , in good standing .

• 4–7 years of substantive experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation .

• Insurance Expertise: Demonstrated understanding of coverage issues related to professional liability , general liability , and directors and officers (D&O) policies .

• Litigation Experience: Strong background in civil litigation , including drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, managing discovery and motion practice, taking and defending depositions, and making court appearances.

• Strategic Thinker: Preferred candidates will have experience with client management, business development, and the independent management of cases.

• Collaborative & Independent: Ability to thrive both as a team player and when working autonomously. Exceptional research and writing skills are a must.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Complex Matters: Represent insurers in high-stakes coverage and reinsurance disputes across a variety of complex commercial issues.

• Own the Process: Take ownership of litigation strategy and case management, from initial pleadings through trial preparation and resolution.

• Client Engagement: Interface directly with sophisticated clients on high-exposure matters, contributing to long-term relationships and trusted partnerships.

• Grow Your Expertise: Work closely with senior attorneys in a high-profile practice known for handling some of the toughest insurance disputes in the country.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Highly Competitive Salary: $250,000 – $370,000 , commensurate with experience.
