This is a summer internship position within the Tax Department, with a focus on investment tax accounting and compliance. The individual will perform a variety of tasks to assist in the quarterly tax provision process, preparation of investment workpapers for the 2022 income tax return filings, special projects, and other responsibilities as assigned.

Organization

The Tax Intern will report to the Senior Tax Analyst. They will work with other members of the Tax team when performing assigned work.

Duties and Responsibilities

The range of tasks to be performed may include, but may not be limited to, the following:

• Assisting with the preparation of investment tax workpapers and internal controls as part of the quarterly tax provision process.
• Assisting with the preparation of investment tax workpapers for the 2022 Federal income tax returns.
• Assisting in the implementation of partnership software. Maintaining the 2022 K-1 tracking schedule and working with internal and external parties to collect and scan K-1s.
• Assisting in preparation of 2022 Federal income tax forms as assigned.
• Assisting with ad hoc requests, special projects and other duties related to investment tax accounting and compliance.

Experience and Education Requirements

• Accounting or Finance degree major

• GPA of 3.0 or greater (on a 4.0 scale) within major
• Interest in tax accounting and/or investment accounting
• Interest in a career with financial services industry preferred
