Labor & Employment Associate (Traditional Labor Focus) – New York, NY

Prestigious Am Law Firm | Class Years: 2019–2021

We are seeking a talented and experienced Labor Management Relations Associate to join the nationally recognized Labor & Employment practice of a prestigious law firm in New York City . This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated attorney with deep experience in traditional labor matters to work alongside a respected team advising sophisticated corporate clients across a variety of industries.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will have 4–6 years of large law firm experience focused on private-sector traditional labor law , as well as:

• Strong knowledge of and experience with the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA)
• Hands-on involvement with NLRB proceedings , including representation petitions and unfair labor practice charges
• Experience handling labor arbitrations and advising on union organizing campaigns and election proceedings
• Proficiency in negotiating and drafting collective bargaining agreements and guiding employers through contract administration
• Familiarity with advising on labor aspects of corporate transactions , including due diligence and integration planning
• A solid foundation in representing management-side clients in complex labor matters

Requirements

• J.D. from a top-tier law school , preferably in New York
• Strong academic credentials
• Must be admitted to the New York Bar (California Bar a plus, if applicable)
• Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• A proactive, client-focused approach and strong interpersonal skills
