Pay: $28.30/hr

Job Description

As a Mechanical and Robotics Technician, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining material handling equipment such as conveyors. You will also complete preventive maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures, perform battery changes and preventive maintenance on batteries, and enter downtime data in daily logs while completing PM sheets.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment (e.g., conveyors).
• Complete preventive maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
• Perform battery changes and preventive maintenance on batteries.
• Enter downtime data in daily logs and complete PM sheets.
• Possess electrical knowledge of basic components.
• Troubleshoot and identify problems with equipment.
• Track and store the department inventory, including spare parts.

Essential Skills

• Industrial maintenance and equipment maintenance experience.
• Must have 6 months of experience performing maintenance on equipment within the last 2 years of employment.
• Diagnostic testing and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Preventive maintenance expertise.
• Knowledge of lockout, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyor maintenance, schematics, and motors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial industries performing maintenance on complex systems and industrial equipment.
• Experience in running diagnostics, inspections, troubleshooting, repairing, and creating work orders.
• Preferred candidates have an associate degree from a technical school, apprenticeship, certifications, military training, or hands-on training related to the maintenance field.

Work Environment

You will work in a large distribution facility with high-speed automation equipment, mostly with robotic components. Be prepared to walk up to 10,000 steps per day. Performance will be tracked by data and numbers, though not micromanaged. Candidates must be open to working any 10-hour shift, with positions available for all shifts.

This is a Contract position based out of Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
