Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Oshkosh, WI (Onsite)

Duration: 6 months contract with possible of extension

Interview Process: HM will request interview via Teams.

Pay Range: $35/hr. to $45/hr. on W2

JOB SUMMARY:

Design and develop reliable, cost-effective components for heavy-duty vehicles. Support engineering analysis, design, and integration into new and existing vehicle platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform basic engineering calculations and tasks under supervision
• Assist in design plans, layouts, and specifications
• Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and company policies
• Evaluate designs for safety, reliability, and performance
• Provide technical support for production and resolve engineering issues
• Prepare reports, proposals, and presentations
• Maintain regular attendance and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Internship or 6+ months of relevant experience

Preferred:

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge of automotive/heavy-vehicle systems
• Experience with high-level CAD tools

Core Competencies:

• Ability to interpret technical documents and procedures
• Structured problem-solving within standard guidelines
• Occasional leadership responsibilities (e.g., lead worker)

Working Conditions:

• Physical: Frequent sitting, standing, typing; occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs)
• Mental: Frequent analysis, reading, writing, and sustained mental activity
• Environment: Frequent task changes, occasional public interaction
• Schedule: Routine hours with infrequent overtime or weekend work
• Stress: Occasional due to deadlines or workload
