We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medical Assistant (MA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients. This is a full-time, Monday thru Friday, on-site role at Cleveland Kidney & Hypertension Consultants, Inc.'s main office located in Euclid, OH. The role involves providing direct patient care, assisting physicians, and maintaining patient records. The Medical Assistant will also collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulations.

  • Assist with the intake process, including taking vital signs and updating medical histories.

  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with facility policies.

  • Scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, obtaining demographic information from patients. 

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medications and understanding of pharmacology principles.

  • Excellent patient service skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment; Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and patient care.

  • Familiarity with EHR systems for accurate documentation and data management. EPIC experience is a plus.

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals and educate patients effectively.

  • Have reliable transportation for travel to Euclid, Mayfield Heights, and Chardon

  • Experience working in a nephrology or a hypertension clinic is a plus.

  • Knowledge of kidney diseases, hypertension, and dialysis procedures is a plus.
