Job Title: Mental Health Assistant
Location: Atlanta, GA (with occasional travel to surrounding Georgia counties)
Employment Type: Part-Time (15–20 hours per week, evenings and weekends preferred)
Compensation: $20 per hour
We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. This position supports licensed providers in delivering high-quality patient care, with a focus on assessments, group sessions, and treatment planning. Ideal for candidates looking to make a meaningful impact while working flexible hours, this role combines both virtual and in-person responsibilities.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist providers with patient assessments, psychotherapy, and psychoeducational sessions
Conduct initial patient evaluations to identify treatment priorities
Help develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Facilitate and support group therapy sessions, in-service trainings, and staff meetings
Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and treatment documentation
Uphold clinic policies, safety procedures, and quality standards
Liaise with patients, families, and external agencies for care coordination
Apply crisis intervention techniques when needed
Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment
Perform duties virtually and in person, with some local travel required
Participate in ongoing professional development through workshops and training
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Certification: CMHT, CBHT, or MHTC required
Experience: Minimum 2 years in a mental health or related setting
Knowledge of patient care practices, crisis intervention, and confidentiality standards
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support patients and teams
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as scheduled
