Job Description

Seeking NP or PA to join our established provider team in Urology.

*Requirements:*

* Board Certified with active GA licensure (or eligible)
* Previous experience in Urology preferred; open to new graduates with a career focused interest in Urology

*Schedule:*

* Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 5 pm - OP clinic
* Friday, 8 am to 5 pm - IP rounds
* OP and IP schedule may fluctuate depending on needs of practice
* No weekend or call requirements

*Scope of practice includes:*

Out Patient:

* Conduct comprehensive and focused urologic assessments, including history, physical exams, and review of diagnostic results.
* Diagnose and manage common urologic conditions such as BPH, urinary incontinence, kidney stones, hematuria, UTIs, and erectile dysfunction.
* Perform in-office procedures (as credentialed), including:
* Catheter placements and changes (Foley, suprapubic)
* Uroflowmetry and bladder scans
* Cystoscopy and urodynamic testing (if trained)
* Provide pre-operative evaluations and post-operative follow-up care.
* Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
* Collaborate with urologists, nurses, and ancillary staff to coordinate care and ensure optimal outcomes.
* Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.

Inpatient

* Perform daily rounds on urology inpatients, including post-operative and consult patients.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans.
* Manage acute urologic conditions such as urinary retention, hematuria, obstructive uropathy, and infections.
* Respond to inpatient and emergency department urology consults.
* Assist with inpatient procedures such as:
* Catheter placements and exchanges (Foley, suprapubic)
* Nephrostomy tube care
* Bladder irrigation and management of hematuria
