We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Chemist to join our growing team in a fast-paced start-up environment. This role will support quality, R&D, and operations by performing analytical testing, managing documentation, and ensuring products meet all required specifications. The ideal candidate will be comfortable wearing multiple hats and contributing across different areas of the business.

Pay: Up to $28/hr, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct stability testing on new products to determine shelf life.
• Pull and test samples (raw materials, in-process, and finished goods) to verify compliance with specifications.
• Collect and prepare samples for third-party laboratory testing.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Support R&D with new product formulations and testing.
• Generate Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for finished goods.
• Prepare documentation for Quality Assurance review.
• Manage laboratory and materials inventory.

Must-Haves

• Previous experience performing QC testing in a laboratory setting.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, start-up environment.
• Willingness to take on multiple responsibilities as needed.
• Chemistry background required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with LIMS or project management tools is a plus.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field preferred.
• 1–2+ years of experience in Quality Control or related laboratory role.
• Industry experience in Nutraceuticals, Personal Care, or Cosmetics strongly preferred.
