Position Overview:

IronGate Private Security, Inc. is seeking a reliable, observant, and professional Pool Monitor to oversee daily operations at an HOA-managed pool facility featuring two swimming pools. This role serves as an onsite visual deterrent to unauthorized activity and helps ensure that residents and their guests follow pool rules and safety guidelines. The Pool Monitor plays a vital role in creating a safe, orderly, and enjoyable environment for all.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Current Guard registration card issued by BSIS.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patrons and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor pool area and surrounding premises to maintain order and safety.
  • Ensure access is limited to authorized residents and their approved guests.
  • Conduct routine foot patrols of both pool areas throughout assigned shift.
  • Confirm compliance with HOA rules, posted regulations, and safety policies.
  • Provide assistance to residents, including answering questions and offering guidance on pool usage.
  • Address and de-escalate minor rule violations with professionalism.
  • Immediately report unusual activities, safety hazards, or incidents to HOA management and/or emergency services as required.
  • Complete daily activity logs and incident reports accurately and promptly.
  • Follow site-specific Post Orders and adapt to evolving security needs in coordination with HOA representatives.

Preferred Certifications & Qualifications:

  • Valid California Guard Card (Required)
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (Strongly Preferred)
  • Basic Water Safety or Lifeguard Training Certification (Preferred but not required)
  • Customer Service or Conflict Resolution Training (Beneficial)
  • Previous experience in security or lifeguard role.
  • Excellent verbal communication and observation skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to remain alert and calm in high-traffic or emergency situations.
  • Knowledge of pool safety regulations and emergency procedures.

Work Schedule:

  • Seasonal position: May 24, 2025 – September 1, 2025 (Labor Day)
  • Shifts may include weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Possible opportunity for year-round or future seasonal assignments based on performance.
