Overview:

MKS2 is seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to lead a team supporting FEMA's National Disaster & Emergency Management University (NDEMU) . This role focuses on delivering high-quality administrative support and customer service to a diverse group of stakeholders including federal, state, tribal, and local jurisdictions, as well as organizations like the American Red Cross.

The position centers around FEMA's Independent Study (IS) Program , which offers free, on-demand emergency management training through downloadable and web-interactive formats. With annual enrollments ranging from two to three million, the IS curriculum is rapidly expanding, and this role is critical to ensuring its continued success.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team providing administrative and customer service support for FEMA's NDEMU stakeholders.
• Oversee project execution, ensuring alignment with FEMA's training and technical assistance goals.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners to support the delivery and expansion of the IS Program.
• Monitor project performance, resolve issues, and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns.
• Ensure compliance with federal records management laws and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or a related field.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects successfully.
• Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex problems.
• Decisive and outcome-focused decision-making capabilities.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in customer service and working with FEMA.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server 2000.
• Experience with FEMA NDEMU Independent Study Database System (ISDBS).
• Knowledge of Federal records management laws and regulations.
