Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical at Community Medical Center summary:

Registered Nurse in Medical-Surgical unit providing expert nursing care to acute patients from admission through discharge. Utilizes nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while acting as a patient advocate and mentor. Committed to improving patient outcomes through clinical expertise, education, and leadership in a hospital setting.

$20,000 Sign-on Bonus with two (2) year commitment to that role. Open to external applicates who have not been previously employed by CMC in the last rolling 9 months.

Status/FTE: FT / 0.8-1.0

Shift length: 12 hours

Start Time: 1900

Unit: Med/Surg

Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Three (3) 12-hour shifts per week. Every third weekend, Holidays per contract

Required qualifications:

  • Current state RN license
  • Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire
  • ACLS and NIHSS within three (3) months of hire
  • One (1) year of acute care experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • BSN preferred
  • Two (2) to Three (3) years of acute care experience
  • Med/Surg certification

Additional Information/Department information: The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of acute patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in the clinical setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. Knowledgeable in clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents. Manages patient loads in assigned timelines.
