This position must practice the profession of pharmacy in an environment that by philosophy and policy, promote patient care and education. This person must be patient directed, clinically oriented, and have a vision to take Meijer Pharmacy to the next level of patient care. Responsibilities include filling prescriptions safely and accurately, maintaining positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership, holding pharmacy technicians accountable, educating and mentoring pharmacy technicians, motivating team members, being knowledgeable of Meijer Policies and Procedures as well as state and federal laws, effective communication, excellent organization skills, listening to and resolving patient needs, overseeing pharmacy operations in the absence of the pharmacist in charge, and performing and overseeing clinical services including immunizations. Qualifications include Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy, registration and licensure in the state of practice, Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana), retail/community practice experience, and working knowledge of pharmacy systems, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
