WHAT WE PROVIDE:

This is a year-round part- time with benefits position at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, in San Antonio, TX. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As a Retail Visual Merchandiser, you contribute to an inspiring, elevated, and consistent Guest experience by implementing commercial standards and excellence. Our business model is centered on our Guest, constantly adapting to their needs. You will be responsible for executing the visual, commercial, and styling curation according to visual & commercial guidelines for the park. We love what we do, and we want you to love what you do. You will also use your trend and competitor awareness to provide a premium guest experience. You will use your skills to create, Teamwork, Coach, Upskill, Passion, Diversity, Creativity, Sustainability and Humility. Using these skills, you will develop the Locations team to contribute to the guest experience, and these skills should be used as daily motivation. 

 

HOW YOU WILL DO IT:

Working at Six Flags Fiesta Texas means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities:

• Contribute to the total Guest experience in the locations by ensuring visual and commercial curation according to guidelines (In-direct) 
• Representing yourself and the SIX FLAGS brand positively during Guest interactions (Direct) 
• Organize and plan your workload according to Locations commercial and visual directive and adapt based on business needs in collaboration with your location team and Department Manager 
• Ensure good garment care, stock levels, and give input on allocation to Location Supervisor, Area Manager, Department Manager and Inventory controller
• Perform sales report (KPIs) follow-up, identify and prioritize visual & commercial opportunities in collaboration with Management team 
• Create efficient and effective actions to increase Guest satisfaction to reach sales targets, goals, budget, and follow-up actions in collaboration with Location team 
• Follow all procedures, best practices, Guest services, operational routines, legal requirements, and communication in all areas of the store with Department team 
• Keep up to date with theme park retail scene, trends, tendencies, styles, products, brands, competitors, and relevant influencers etc. 
• Plan time for fashion & trend awareness to understand trend theory and Visual directive for techniques and product presentation to anticipate our Guest needs and enhance our shopping experience in store 
• Share, inspire and educate your store teams, keep them updated with seasonal changes, trends, relevant visual & commercial information, in-store communication. 
• Coach and develop the team’s visual and commercial skills to secure high quality of product & commercial presentation according to direction 
• Support & develop daily routines and best practices for your team to always ensure a consistent level of visual & commercial standard while maintaining guest service engagement 
• Organize, provide, and carry out the visual & commercial upskilling for you and your colleagues 
• Secure window & styling execution according to visual & commercial guidelines to create inspirational and commercial Guest experience 
• Provide good Guest flow by maintaining commercial layout, fixtures, to secure the best product placement 
• Secure a strong balance and the maintenance of signs in windows and throughout the store following guidelines according to strategy
• In collaboration with Operation Management ensure all lighting is working correctly, aimed to highlight our products and display forms in windows and throughout the store 
• Maintain and care for all display forms and interior material (fixtures & fittings) with sustainability in mind 
• In collaboration with Area Managers and Department Manager ensure your store navigation is maintained and kept up to date according to latest guidelines and store layout 
• Keep sales floor and back of house clean, organized, and safe according to local security guidelines 
• Coordinate promotional signage with the graphic designer and ensure timely production and accurate display of signage

 

WHAT YOU NEED:

For you to be a successful Retail Visual Merchandiser, you must be curious and creative; always looking for inspiration, proactive, solution focused, flexible, with effective communication skills to achieve results cross functionally. 

We look for individuals with fashion interests and leadership skills who can apply their visual and commercial experience working in a dynamic environment to the role including: 

• Experience with being solution focused to improve product presentation and commercial execution in store 
• Good knowledge of visual, commercial, and operational best practices, routines, and tools.
• Know how to manage, follow-up and act on weekly sales reports. 
• Must be available to work a minimum of 30+ hours per week. 
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. (Should be available before the season opens and could require occasional early morning and late evening hours during the operating season.)
• Must be able to work in a standing or sitting position & be able to lift up to 30lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and reach on a regular basis and for extended periods of time
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be physically capable of operating a motor vehicle.
