The Science Writer in the Communications and Public Relations Department is responsible for translating scientific data and information related to cancer research into content that helps educate the public, policymakers, media and the health care industry about cancer research advances, the AACR's mission, and the importance of biomedical science and funding. In this capacity, the Science Writer will assist the director in implementing the AACR's communications and public relations plans that facilitate the accurate communication and reporting of the latest advances in cancer research from the AACR's meetings, journals, partnerships, and other scientific activities.
The Science Writer writes and edits content that helps promote awareness of AACR's scientific activities among the public, policymakers, the media, and others interested in cancer research. Responsibilities include:
