As a Security Officer – Government Patrol - Full Time in Reno, NV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Your presence and proactive approach will provide reassurance and exceptional customer service while you respond to situations and communicate clearly with the public. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors and employees with security-related questions and access as needed.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities.
  • Follow all instructions and protocols provided by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as required by site protocols.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
