Sheet Metal Fabricator

Join our Metal Shop team, where you will be responsible for operating the Press Brake and Turret as well as engaging in general labor duties. You will set up and operate a turret press, load programs, set up tooling, load blanks, unload products, program, set-up and operate the Press Brake, and perform a variety of general secondary operations.

Responsibilities:

• Program the press brake and assign proper tooling for specific jobs.
• Operate the press brake to form various parts and assemblies according to print specifications.
• Load tooling into the turret and inspect and adjust punch length and die height.
• Start the press and observe its operation to detect any misalignment or malfunction.
• Fabricate and modify sheet metal components to meet design specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve the manufacture of new and modified parts.
• Inspect workpieces for conformance to specifications using visual checks or gauges/templates, and adjust machines to correct errors.
• Perform general secondary operations, including deburring, grinding, shearing, cutting material, and operating a band saw.

Essential Skills:

• Experience with press brake operations.
• Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication.
• Ability to operate turret presses.
• Skill in spot welding, grinding, and deburring.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in production environments.
• Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes.

Work Environment:

You will work in a smaller machine shop with well-lit facilities. The position operates on the first shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. The shop is scheduled to move to a brand-new facility in Arden Hill in the summer of 2026.

Job Type & Location:

This is a permanent position based out of Arden Hills, MN.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $60000.00/yr. competitive wages, flexible schedules, and a comprehensive insurance package with health, dental, and vision.
