Job Description
This position is responsible for maintaining shipping and receiving matters and for overall cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
Requirements
Schedule Monday- Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Shipping and Receiving inventory using a forklift and barcode scanning system.
- Properly load and unload semi-trailers and/or shipping containers.
- Maintain the company warehouse through organizing, cleaning, and cycle counting items on a regular basis.
- Organizing the warehouse to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming shipments.
- Assist the manager with troubleshooting shipping issues, customer complaints, and any inventory issues that arise and work to solve them.
- Adhere to all Greenbridge safety rules.
- General housekeeping of the shipping/warehouse area and breakroom.
- Stocking inventory.
- Place merchandise in warehouse or storage facility by packaging and lifting items as necessary
- Operates forklift and pallet jacks when storing or moving large goods.
- Performs other related duties assigned by Management, including but not limited to light production assembly.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Skills Required: - Effective communication, observation, planning, writing, reading, basic math, and prioritization skills.
- Forklift and barcode scanner operation preferred.
- Demonstrates good housekeeping practices.
- Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
- Works well independently and with others.
- Good communication skills.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
Education and Experience: - 3 to 5 years' experience in a warehouse environment
- Forklift certification preferred.
Physical Requirements / Environmental Demands :
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move items as needed.
- Must be able to visually inspect inbound and outbound shipments.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repetitively.
- Required to wear PPE to include steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection.
- Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temp.
Salary Description
$20.00/Hour Greenbridge
