Currently, we have openings for SOUND TRANSIT Uniform Security Officers in Tacoma and surrounding areas, including King, Snohomish, and Pierce counties. These site-specific positions involve Mobile Patrol duties. Team members will receive a $500 sign-on bonus distributed after completing 90, 150, 210, and 270 days. Training: Receive hands-on training from National Certified Instructors in Defensive Tactics, OC Foam, Use of Restraints, and AVADE, providing stability and valuable experience. Responsibilities include: Perform security patrols of designated areas via vehicle and on foot Obtain and maintain a WA State Security Certification within 60 days Maintain all licenses, certifications, and equipment Conduct patrol checks at various locations within assigned routes Ensure site security and monitor for irregular or unsafe conditions Control access by permitting authorized persons and monitoring entrances/exits Prepare reports on incidents, accidents, and suspicious activities Build positive community relationships and uphold Sound Transit’s reputation Display professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail Carry defensive tools after training and certification Assist first responders when needed Perform additional duties as assigned Job Requirements: Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Pass pre-employment drug testing (including THC) Complete physical assessment after onboarding Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays Preferred 2 years of military, security, law enforcement, corrections, fire, EMS, or relevant education Attend mandatory paid training Pass background check Strong interest in security Ability to stand for entire shift and physically restrain others if necessary Reliable transportation Basic computer skills (Word, Outlook) Ability to obtain Washington State Security License Must be 21 or older Starting wage is $27.50 per hour, based on experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr Phoenix Protective Corp
