Position Summary

Northside Charter High School seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Spanish Teacher for the 2025-2026 academic year. The ideal candidate will foster a love for language learning and cultural exploration while developing students’ proficiency in Spanish through engaging and interactive lessons. Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in Spanish language and culture, focusing on speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

  • Student Engagement: Foster an inclusive and dynamic classroom culture that motivates students to participate actively in language learning.

  • Cultural Exploration: Incorporate cultural studies and activities to deepen students’ understanding and appreciation of Spanish-speaking countries.

  • Assessment and Feedback: Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student progress, provide timely and constructive feedback, and tailor instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

  • Differentiation: Adapt lessons to accommodate various learning levels and styles, ensuring all students are supported and challenged.

  • Classroom Management: Maintain an organized, respectful, and positive learning environment.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field.

  • Valid teaching certification for secondary Spanish (or ability to obtain certification before the start date).

  • Proficiency in Spanish and a strong understanding of language acquisition methods.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field.

  • Experience teaching Advanced Placement (AP) Spanish or dual-credit courses.

  • Familiarity with incorporating technology into language instruction.
