Job Description
*Position Overview*
We are looking for a licensed, detail-oriented, and collaborative *Structural Engineer* to assist with evaluating, designing, and certifying structural plans for mainly residential design-build projects with some commercial occasionally. You’ll work closely with our interior designers, contractors, and consultants to ensure safety, feasibility, and compliance with building codes across Nevada &/or California.
*Responsibilities*
* Review architectural and design concepts to assess structural feasibility
* Provide stamped structural drawings and calculations as required
* Collaborate with the Talie Jane Interiors and Construction teams on site visits, consultations, and plan development
* Recommend framing modifications, reinforcements, or load-bearing adjustments
* Ensure designs comply with all applicable local, state, and federal codes
* Assist in permitting processes and respond to plan check comments from building departments
* Offer expertise on foundation design, seismic requirements, and structural safety
*Qualifications*
* Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Nevada and/or California (required) with all certifications for stamping.
* Minimum 3 years of residential structural engineering experience
* Strong understanding of wood-framed construction, renovations, and luxury home design
* Experience working with interior design or construction firms a strong plus
* Proficient in structural analysis and CAD software
* Excellent communication and time management skills
* Reliable, responsive, and collaborative team player

Pay: $70,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
