Overview Under the direction of the Medical Practice Manager, the Surgery Scheduler performs surgery scheduling and various routine clerical tasks. The Surgery Scheduler oversees insurance inquiries; performs pre-admission reviews and explains deductible and payments if necessary; schedules surgery time with hospital and schedules physical before surgery date. Works closely with Office Manager and other members of the office to trouble-shoot and resolve problems, maintains positive relationships with patients, family members and other visitors, and fellow employees. Responsibilities Schedule surgery times with the hospital and schedule the required pre-operative physical before the surgery date. Oversee insurance inquiries and perform pre-admission reviews; explain any applicable deductibles and payments as needed. Work closely with the Office Manager and other office staff to troubleshoot and resolve problems. Maintain positive relationships with patients, family members, visitors, and fellow employees.
