Strong tax preparation and GAP experience. A minimum of 5 years’ experience is desired. CPA preferred but not required. Responsibilities include: • Establishing relationships with our clients and providing them with a variety of accounting and taxation consulting services • Problem-solving client issues and providing robust solutions • Providing clients with expert advice in adapting accounting software for their specific needs • Planning, preparing and problem-solving taxation strategies for small business entities including, corporations, partnerships and proprietorships. • Manage a team of accountants and tax preparers and assist with complex tax issues • Plan and prepare budgets for small businesses and non-profits Experience: • Ability to embrace challenging assignments, quickly ascertain and analyze areas of concern and provide comprehensive, workable solutions. • Ability to communicate and build rapport with clients of various sizes and industries • Proven ability to work under pressure and to display dedicated commitment to understanding and solving issues in a timely manner. • Experience working with for-profit and not-for-profit clients • Familiarity utilizing accounting research tools to find solutions to specific accounting issues. • Proven ability to meet deadlines and to be proactive with follow-up on all projects • Extensive and advanced experience in EXCEL • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of work responsibilities and to see tasks through to completion Soft Skills: · Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written · Exceptional interpersonal skills, both internal and with clients. · Well organized, highly motivated and detail oriented. · Critical thinking and problem solving · detail oriented appearance at all times Qualifications • 5 years’ accounting and tax preparation experience, with strong focus on both individual and business taxation • CPA is preferred • Degree in accounting, Business Administration or similar field, or equivalent accounting experience • Experience with accounting software and EXCEL• Proven experience in individual tax preparation.
• Proficiency in using Lacerte Tax Software, QuickBooks Online, and ProSeries.
• Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations applicable to individual tax returns.
• Ability to analyze financial information and identify discrepancies.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks for managing financial data.
• Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in tax filings.
• Capability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
