Your role
Are you currently transitioning from the US Armed Services and seeking a training assignment in the Financial Services Industry? UBS is seeking individuals like you to participate in our SkillBridge training program. Only transitioning service members approved for DOD SkillBridge will be considered.
Are you highly motivated in solving technology issues? Are you at your best when supporting others? Do you work well in a team environment?
Were looking for a Tech Support Analyst to:
- support various to ensure production stability and availability for key operational business processes
- follow incident and problem management processes according to ITIL standards and uphold these high standards for timely issue resolution and keeping users updated with progress
- proactively seek automation and efficiency improvement opportunities to reduce non-value added activities
- communicate complex technical issues, properly set expectations and adequately follow-up
- track work progress and report any key issues
- implement continuous improvement and problem management programs as well as good grounding in IT technical architecture and infrastructure.
- display strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills (i.e. you know how to figure problems out)

Your expertise - ideally 2+ years of hands-on experience in a maintenance and support
- experience in Java, J2EE, Unix, Perl scripting, Oracle PL/SQL, Sybase, Autosys, Big Panda, Splunk, App Dynamics, Websphere/Tomcat, Python
- experience with monitoring solutions required, preferably BigPanda, App Insight, LogAnalytics and Exposure to Grafana and Prometheus
- complete understanding of the ITIL Service Framework (incident, problem, release, and event management). Proficient with tools such as ticketing, knowledge sharing, DevOps and scheduling tools
- experience in cloud computing, containers, and Kubernetes
- experience in data analytics and data science tools like Cloudera, Informatica, Azure Data Bricks, Azure Data Factory etc. is an added advantage
- knowledge on data management tool Denodo and Postgres database
- Experience with ETL platforms, API management and API gateways like Apigee is added advantage
- Only transitioning armed services members approved for DOD SkillBridge will be considered
