About the Role

The Training and Data Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the success of the Runaway and Homeless Youth (RHY) and Supervised Independent Living Programs (SILP) by developing and coordinating staff training programs, managing program data, and ensuring compliance with reporting DYCD, ACS and OCFS requirements. This position ensures that staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively support youth development, safety, and rehabilitation, while also providing data-driven insights to improve program performance. This position also ensures that the program operates with fidelity to best practices and legal standards.

Please note that a 15-20 minute Training demonstration will be required for the interview process. The topic can be related to any of the following, candidates can choose the topic and should come prepared to present, no PowerPoint is required:

  • trauma-informed care
  • crisis intervention and behavior management
  • conflict resolution

What You’ll Do

Training and Development (50% of Role):

  • Design, implement, and coordinate ongoing training for staff, including therapeutic crisis intervention (TCI), First aid CPR, Mental Health First Aid, trauma-informed care, behavior management, safety procedures, and cultural competency and other related topics.
  • Collaborate with leadership to assess training needs and evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Maintain training records and ensure staff compliance with training requirements.
  • Facilitate or coordinate external training sessions and certifications as needed.

Data Management and Reporting (25% of Role):

  • Collect, manage, and analyze program data related to youth outcomes, incidents, staff performance, and other key indicators.
  • Create regular reports for internal use, grant reporting, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Support continuous quality improvement efforts by identifying trends and recommending actionable changes based on data.
  • Maintain data systems and ensure the accuracy, security, and confidentiality of all program data.

Program Compliance (25% of Role):

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all DYCD, ACS and OCFS regulations, as well as licensing and accreditation standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records to demonstrate program adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare for and support external audits, reviews, and inspections.
  • Collaborate with program leadership to develop and update policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory changes and best practices.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance-related issues and updates.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, Data Science, Public Administration, or another related field required. Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in training, data analysis, program evaluation, or compliance oversight, preferably in youth services or residential care settings.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in data software a must (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Salesforce, or case management systems). Should be able to create spreadsheets, charts and data visuals
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and regulatory frameworks for youth residential programs.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Work Environment

  • This position will be primarily based in the Bronx, however our large training spaces are located in the main office in midtown Manhattan and our Jamaica Queens hub.
  • Work is performed in-person, with 1 remote day each week
  • Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required for training, compliance reviews, or data collection and position will require travel to multiple program sites or external training venues.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position of 35 hours per week. Daily schedule and hours will fluctuate to meet the needs of the team and clients.

Must be able to pass TCI training.

Additional Requirements:

  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to work in-person in New York City (NY) for at least 3 days or more per week.
  • Ability to travel to other Rising Ground sites (if required)
