• Location: Portland, OR 97213 (Oregon nursing jobs)\n
• Facility: Level 3/4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in a short-term acute care hospital\n
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/8/2025 – End: 3/9/2026)\n
• Shifts: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Days: 07:00–19:00, Nights: 19:00–07:00), 3 shifts per week\n
• Hours per Week: 36\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2010 - $2160\n
• Patient Ratio: 1:3\n
• Floating: Required within hospital and to affiliated healthcare facilities\n
• Weekend Coverage: Rotating schedule (every 3rd weekend)\n
• Parking: Free on-site parking\n

\n\nNICU Registered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon (pending license accepted)\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent Level 3 or Level 4 NICU RN experience\n
• Charge nurse experience (2+ years) preferred\n
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications required\n
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system\n
• Reliable vehicle required for travel between healthcare facilities\n
• Ability to float to sister hospitals as needed\n
• Two supervisory references from the past three years (covering at least one year)\n

\n\nNICU RN Responsibilities\n

\n
• Deliver expert clinical care to neonates and infants in a Level 3/4 NICU environment\n
• Attend high-risk deliveries and respond to neonatal emergencies\n
• Lead unit staffing, assign patients, and conduct multidisciplinary rounds (charge nurse duties)\n
• Perform advanced NICU procedures: APGAR scoring, arterial line and central line management, ventilator management, phototherapy, and more\n
• Educate and support families of NICU patients\n
• Float to other hospital units or affiliated healthcare facilities as required\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, social services)\n
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic EHR\n
