Warehouse Manager (Freight Forwarder)

The Warehouse Manager leads day-to-day warehouse operations in a freight forwarding environment, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient handling of inbound/outbound cargo. This role requires strong leadership, accurate inventory control, hands-on Magaya experience, and a current certified forklift license.

Schedule: Monday Friday | 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Cargo Operations

• Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, storage, staging, loading/unloading, and outbound preparation.
• Manage freight handling activities such as pallet build/break, labeling, and cargo readiness to meet operational cutoffs.
• Ensure accuracy of cargo counts, weights/dimensions (as required), labeling, and condition upon receipt and release.
• Coordinate with internal operations and drivers to ensure timely freight flow and customer service.

Inventory Control & Quality

• Maintain accurate cargo location control and inventory integrity.
• Perform cycle counts and audits; research and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage OS&D issues (overages, shortages, damages) and implement corrective actions to reduce repeat errors.

Systems: Magaya Requirements

• Use Magaya daily to record receiving, cargo moves, locations, releases, and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate and timely system updates to ensure visibility and reporting accuracy.

Leadership & Safety

• Lead, train, and support warehouse staff to meet productivity and accuracy expectations.
• Enforce warehouse safety standards and ensure safe operation of material handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment and ensure compliance with internal procedures.

Requirements (Employer Requirements Adjusted)

• 5+ years of Warehouse Management experience (freight forwarding / logistics / 3PL preferred).
• Certified Forklift Operator License (current/valid certification required).
• Experience with Magaya software (required).
• Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations (receiving, staging, inventory control, shipping/dispatch readiness).
• Proven ability to lead teams and prioritize daily workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including standing/walking for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $55,000.00 - $68,000.00 Per Year
