Metal and Wood Products (1958) Ltd. is a custom High-End fabrication shop that has been serving the greater Vancouver area for over 60 years. We have built our reputation by providing high-end architectural details with an emphasis on communication, consistency, and quality.

We are currently looking for an experienced full-time Fabricator/Welder/Finisher to join our growing team. This is not an entry level position.

Responsibilities:

• Welding TIG/MIG (aluminum, stainless steel, other ferrous and non-ferrous metals)
• Fitting, fabricating, and assembling from Drawings
• Work in a safe and efficient manner

Requirements:

• Able to Tig & Mig weld
• Able to Fabricate from technical drawings
• Able to blend welds smooth.
• A team player
• Communicate effectively with team members and understand instructions, verbal and/or written
• Able to read and understand complicated drawings
• Able to work independently with minimal assistance
• A problem solver, quick learner, organized and adaptable
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
• Have a high level of attention to detail and metal finishing skill
• Have at least 3 years work experience fabricating and welding
• Able to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must be living in the greater Vancouver area

Preference given to applicants with experience in operation of press brakes, sheet metal rolls, punch press, shears and additionally a forklift operator certificate

Schedule:

Monday – Friday

7:00am – 3:30pm
