HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
Fulltime with Benefits

Salary: $59,526

Warren County is seeking a HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR for performing safe and efficient operation of heavy automotive equipment along with a variety of manual tasks in connection with such operations, as well as related work as required. The work is performed under general supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. One (1) year of experience in the operation of specialized or heavy motor equipment; or
2. Two (2) years of experience in the operation of any type of automotive equipment; or
3. The equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements:

1. At the time of appointment and throughout the term of employment, possession of a valid New York State Driver’s License appropriate to the assignment and type of equipment being operated.
2. If assigned to drive heavy motor equipment, as defined by the Commercial Motor Safety Act, incumbents are required to possess a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with required endorsements

Authority to fill this job vacancy is subject to the approval of the Board of Supervisors.
