Qualifications:

• Applicants are required to possess and maintain a clean driving record.
• Must be able to travel.
• Successful completion of a drug screening is mandatory upon hiring and throughout employment. Our workplace maintains a drug-free environment.
• Reliable transportation to the Adkins shop is essential.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in proximity to a high volume of fast-moving traffic.

Responsibilities:

• This position involves outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Assist with various tasks on highway construction sites, including but not limited to digging, shoveling, carrying materials and using hand and power tools.
• Collaborate with equipment operators in tasks such as laying conduit, trenching, shoveling, and digging.
• Load and unload materials, tools and equipment from trucks and transport them to and from construction sites as needed.
• Assist in the placement, movement, and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones, and other traffic control devices.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to jobsite safety and adhere to safe work practices diligently.

Benefits:

• Starting pay of $17.00 per hour with the opportunity for overtime (45+ hours weekly). Must possess clean driving record. Eligibility is determined by our insurance company. Pay negotiable based on proven experience.
