This position is responsible for designing, building, monitoring and constantly improving Digital platform applications and processes. Software. It’s the modern building block of businesses, apps, services, investments, innovations, and bottom lines.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

• Experienced at setting up and managing projects using at least three of the following: Kubernetes (GKE), Service Meshes (Istio), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Linux, Redis, CI/CD Pipelines, High-Availability design, Service Discovery, and Prometheus
• Able to work fast and reliably under pressure
• A strong critical thinker who identifies problems before they happen
• Driven to improve current systems and implement new solutions with a fast-paced, mission-driven team
• Determine root-cause for all production level incidents and write corresponding high-quality RCA reports
• Apply software engineering principles to fix operational problems
• Be responsible for availability, latency, performance, efficiency, security best-practices, change/configuration management, monitoring, emergency response, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and tooling/automation of our infrastructure and deployment workflows
• Design and maintain production monitoring systems
• Troubleshoot performance and stability issues using a wide variety of tools
• Evaluate and manage application and environment security
• Support and maintain globally distributed, multi-cloud (public and/or private) environments
• Automate common, repeatable tasks at large scale to streamline operational procedures
• Follow change management processes during implementations
• Use and maintain version control for application infrastructure
• Promote the DevOps/SRE mindset

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science or foreign equivalent required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or foreign equivalent inrelated field with continuous and progressive experience
• Curious and self-driven to ask very difficult questions and capable of leading change in a diverse organizational landscape
• Strong written and oral communication skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with engineering management, developers, and leadership
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
• B. S. degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in Development Operations related roles

This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $112,000.00.
