We are seeking a skilled machinist to join our second shift team. The ideal candidate with have 3 or more years experience setting up, programming, operating, and troubleshooting CNC machines, specifically multi-axis lathes. We are looking for a responsible, driven, self motivated candidate that is interested in learning new skills and progressing in their career. 

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a multi-axis lathe to product parts to specification on small to medium production runs
• Read and interpret blueprints and/or work instructions to understand project specifications
• Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of finished parts
• Collaborate with supervision and/or the engineering team to make adjustments as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Manage priorities based on a production schedule and adjust accordingly

Requirements

• Prior experience operating CNC machines with Fanuc based controls
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• A strong understanding of G-Code programing
• Familiarity with CAD software is preferred
• Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with multiple types of material including but not limited to steel, aluminum, cast iron, titanium, etc.

Schedule

• Second Shift: Monday - Thursday 1:00pm - 11:00pm, Friday Noon-8pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 48 per week
