About Us:

We are seeking an experienced psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team at West Eastern Health. We are an integrative mental health and wellness clinic that is dedicated to providing comprehensive, holistic mental health services through a functional medicine approach. These include innovative treatments such as ketamine-assisted therapy (KAT), qEEG-guided neurofeedback, advanced laboratory and genetic assessments and nutritional counseling for patients seeking deeper and more comprehensive mental wellness strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both traditional medicine and holistic mental health practices, with specific experience in administering and overseeing I.V. and I.M. ketamine treatments.

Job Summary:

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at West Eastern Health, you will work with our interdisciplinary team- comprised of our Director of Nursing, Medical Director, Practice Manager and RNs, providing innovative treatment solutions to our clients. You will be responsible for assessing mental health conditions, developing treatment plans, and administering ketamine under a controlled and therapeutic setting, ensuring safety and efficacy throughout the process.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive functional medicine evaluations to diagnose root cause of mental health conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and KAT.
• Be proficient in placing, starting and maintaining an I.V. line as needed.
• Administer ketamine I.V. infusions or other routes of administration as per the clinic protocol, monitoring patients' responses and adjusting treatment as necessary.
• Provide holistic education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment expectations, post-treatment care, and mental health maintenance.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists and medical staff, to ensure holistic care and optimal treatment outcomes.
• Stay informed of the latest research and developments in KAT and psychiatric care.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and clinical protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications:

o 3+ years of experience in related practice and an independent license to practice

o DEA License in the State of Florida

o Proficient in using electronic medical record systems and other relevant software applications

o Accredited nursing degree and PMHNP licensing

o Exceptional people and service orientation

o Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills

o Strong management and communication skills

o KAT experience preferred

o Training and/or experience in mind and body wellness

o Nurturing and calming disposition

o Working knowledge of emergency care

o In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures

o Willingness to learn and implement integrative and functional medicine treatments

Pay: $75 - $85 per hour
